The Coming of the Goods

It came! It came!
Edmund was less than happy with my description of the shipping process. He would like me to retract my previous statement, the one where I make it sound like it was NOT the worst experience of his short life to fill out all the forms for me (yes, he filled out all the forms), and he wants my reader to know that if he never has to do it again it would be okay with him. He's very upset. He would also like everyone to know that he really does have a sword.

Anyway, Edmund, blah blah blah, let's look at the fun stuff!

A panini knife! This was part of a knife set my wonderful grandparents gave us as a wedding gift. I don't know why you need a special knife for paninis (not that I ever make paninis) but I love the cute little edge. It isn't viciously serrated, with little points, it's bubble-serrated. I can't wait to use this puppy on a tomato or something.

And these!

I forgot I had these. They are the cutest little bowls I bought at Anthropologie at one of their excellent sales. What am I going to do with them, you ask? How should I know? Fill them with bite-sized paninis that I have just cut with my panini knife?

My books. They're like my children. I missed them. In the absence of the dog that Edmund won't let me have, I cuddle my books. There are several boxes of them, and they're going to have to stay packed until we get another bookcase. But even seeing these few makes me feel more at home. Ahhh.

It's like a treasure hunt! There's so much more here than I remembered sending. I have no idea where it's all going. But it's been like Christmas so far!

what are you going to do about your appliances i see in the photo? will they fit in the sockets there? now, why is edmund whining about forms? you'd think with him moving halfway across the world, this would be the least of his inconveniences. oh wait, he didn't. mwahahaha. it's ok for me to say this...he doesn't know where i live. :) - stephanie
